DRC: Apostle Thierry Overcomer from Ituri Honors Prophet Mulindwa Jules with Two Cars

A remarkable scene unfolded in the capital city of the Democratic Republic of Congo on October 12, 2025 when Apostle Thierry Overcomer, accompanied by a delegation from Ituri Province, surprised his spiritual father, Prophet Mulindwa Jules, with two brand-new cars one for the Prophet himself and another for his spouse, Ima Mulindwa.

Apostle Thierry Overcomer, who was trained and ordained by Prophet Mulindwa to lead the Cité de Refuge Church in Ituri, expressed that this gesture was a heartfelt act of gratitude and recognition.

“Everything I am today is thanks to my spiritual father,” he said. “Prophet Mulindwa Jules took me from nowhere, taught me the truth of the Gospel, and raised me as his representative in Ituri.”

During our interview, Apostle Thierry revealed that the Cité de Refuge Church in Ituri now counts more than 25 branches, a growth he attributes to divine grace and the spiritual leadership of the Prophet. “This expansion was not by our strength, but by the power of God who works through His children,” he emphasized.

As a resident and apostle in Bunia, the capital of Ituri Province, Thierry said he wanted to honor his mentor in a meaningful way. Together with his disciples, he organized a surprise journey to Kinshasa to present the gifts as an expression of love, unity, and gratitude.

A Service Filled with Emotion and Celebration

During the Sunday service, Apostle Thierry took the floor to address the congregation before unveiling the gifts. “Anyone who is not grateful will never prosper in life,” he declared. “The way you see me and my delegation today it’s all thanks to the God of Mulindwa.”

After introducing his team and acknowledging the spiritual vitality of Ituri “a land flowing with honey and milk,” as he described it, Apostle Thierry began the presentation.

He first offered a symbolic gift to Ima Mulindwa, saying:

“We came with gold wrapped in this box. As you see it, it’s equivalent to a brand-new car, and it’s for our mother.”

The congregation erupted in applause and joy as Ima Mulindwa received the gift.

Then, turning to the Prophet, Apostle Thierry continued:

“Our father loves and drives American cars. We thought about it and decided to buy him a new one from Japan.”

Apostle Thierry presented an envelope containing USD 40,000, prompting an emotional reaction from the Prophet, who blessed his spiritual son and the entire delegation with heartfelt words.

A Lesson in Gratitude and Honor

Speaking with us the next day, Apostle Thierry reflected on the inspiration behind his act.

“It’s wise for children to recognize and honor their parents’ efforts,” he said. “Many of us came from difficult backgrounds, we were lost, sinful, and without direction. But Prophet Mulindwa showed us the way and helped us find purpose. After all he has done for us over the past 16 years, there are things he should no longer do alone.”

He concluded by calling on other apostles within Cité de Refuge to adopt the same spirit of honor and gratitude:

“This is just the beginning. I encourage all my brothers in the ministry to make our spiritual parents proud. They have worked so hard for us.”

A Growing Movement with Global Reach

For 16 years now, the Cité de Refuge Church has been spreading its message of faith, transformation, and truth across the Democratic Republic of Congo and beyond. Today, its branches extend to countries such as Congo-Brazzaville, Tanzania, Uganda, Burundi, Canada, and many more drawing believers through its revolutionary teachings, miracles, and commitment to dispelling false beliefs.
