DRC: Sifa za Kristo Choir Announces the Official Launch of Its New Album

Sifa za Kristo Choir (Christ’s Praises Choir) of the City of Refuge Church in Uvira, Democratic Republic of Congo, has announced the official launch of its new album on October 26, 2025.

The announcement was made by the choir’s chief leader in Uvira, Mr. Josué, who provided detailed information about the upcoming event.

The new project is composed of seven praise and worship songs. One of them reflects on the independence of the Democratic Republic of Congo gained from Belgian colonizers in 1960. According to the singers, this independence was not fully effective, as there are still forms of colonization in different sectors. “Only the revolutionary gospel brought by Prophet Mulindwa Jules is working to restore true independence, both physical and spiritual,” they sang.

Sifa za Kristo, translated as Christ’s Praises, is the name chosen by Prophet Mulindwa Jules for the main choir across all branches of his ministry. Its mission is to spread the Good News through music and to train a new generation of apostles who will be sent across the world to preach the Gospel. Alongside Sifa za Kristo, there is another choir called World Changers, mainly composed of young men dedicated to serving God.

Mr. Josué revealed during our discussion that the event will begin at 11 a.m. on October 26. He invited people from Uvira, other provinces, and even neighboring countries to come and experience the presence of the Lord.

“My message to the citizens of Uvira, other provinces of DRC, and even our neighbors from Burundi is to come and witness the incredible work of God and support us,” said Mr. Josué.

Among the songs featured is 15 Pourcent (15 Percent), which encourages believers to remain steadfast in God no matter the hardships they face. The song uses the example of the lion, how 85 percent of its life is marked by failure, yet it never gives up, which leads to the 15 percent of unmatched success.

City of Refuge Uvira is located in eastern Congo, South Kivu Province, and is led by Apostle Gédéon, appointed by Prophet Mulindwa Jules.
