The founder and spiritual leader of Pentecostal Church Light of the World, commonly known as City of Refuge Church, Dr. Prophet Mulindwa Jules, will begin an evangelical tour of the former province of Great Katanga on October 11, 2026.
The news was announced by the prophet’s representative in Haut-Katanga, Apostle Jack Caleb Lukengerwa, who is based in Lubumbashi.
Speaking before his congregation on Sunday, October 4, 2026, Apostle Jack Caleb said Lubumbashi would be the starting point of Mulindwa Jules’ tour before he visits other cities in the region.
Apostle Jack Caleb called on the people of Lubumbashi and surrounding cities to turn out in large numbers to welcome the prophet and receive what he described as a special blessing and the grace of healing.
“I have great news for you,” he told the congregation. “Our father, the great Peace Prize, Dr. Prophet Mulindwa Jules, will be here in Lubumbashi on October 11, 2026. I invite the entire population of Lubumbashi, regardless of their religion, as well as people from Fungurume, Likasi, Kasumbalesa, Kolwezi and other cities, to be there upon his arrival and give him a warm welcome. There will be unmatched grace, and you should all come and receive it,” he announced.
In a vox pop interview conducted by Clément Mulindwa for NURU RTV LUBUMBASHI, members of City of Refuge Church expressed their joy over the news. Some recalled what they described as miracles God performed in their lives during the prophet’s previous visit to the region, while encouraging others to come and experience similar things.
The upcoming trip is part of a series of journeys that Prophet Mulindwa Jules announced at the beginning of 2026, when he promised to visit almost the entire Democratic Republic of Congo.
During the first five months of the year, he visited Kisangani, Bunia, Butembo and Beni in the eastern part of the country. Shortly after returning to Kinshasa, he also visited Kongo-Central Province.
Before embarking on the third round of his tour, however, he made a brief trip outside the country to Brazzaville, Republic of the Congo, where he was welcomed by what organizers described as hundreds of thousands of people three weeks ago.
Formerly one large province, Great Katanga was later divided into four provinces: Haut-Katanga, Lualaba, Tanganyika and Haut-Lomami.
Each of these provinces has several cities, and the prophet is expected to visit several of them, including Lubumbashi, which will serve as the starting point, as well as Likasi, Kolwezi, Kasumbalesa and Fungurume.
